“Wellness Events in Miami on Thursday”
Midtown: Midtown Meditates at Horseshoe Park
Every third Thursday of the month enjoy at chill vinyasa flow by yogi Rosario, she is a sweetheart and DJ Claunine at Horseshoe Park across from My Ceviche. They have vendors and rumor has it that they have a free give away of yoga mats!
Midtown: Corks & Canvases at Atton Brickell
Participants will have the opportunity to learn to paint under the guidance of Miami based artist Felipe Lagos while enjoying unlimited wine and prosecco. Yup. You read that right. Release your inner Picasso with a little help from wine and prosecco. It’s actually kind of cool. I am not very good at painting or drawing but for those who like spirits and art this could be a match made in heaven.
“Wellness Events in Miami on Friday”
Coral Gables: How To Manage Stress by Bodhi Wellness
Stress. Ugh. Just reading that word can create responses in our minds and bodies that are both automatic and unpleasant. Stress has a way of working its way into every aspect of our lives and screwing up everything. What if you could shift your mindset to experience stress as a friend instead of as something you want to get rid of?
Miami Health District: A Community Feast by Jackson Hall
Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres, followed by a dinner featuring 5 unique concepts from Yard Hospitality, using sustainable produce courtesy of Hungry Harvest. In the spirit of community, they'll be serving something for everyone, including pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. Continuing with their mission to raise awareness for food sustainability practice while supporting those in need.
“Wellness Events in Miami on Saturday”
El Doral: Yoga & Coffee Social by Mind Body Social
Our friends at Mind Body Social are rocking their pop-up space with tons of great events. Start the weekend by clearing the mind, toning up the body and connecting with friends and neighbors with yoga, followed by delicious coffees from around the world by Pasion Del Cielo. Get your caffeine fix after the flow.
Miami Lakes: Kundalini Yoga at Miami Lakes Park West
Kundalini Yoga is also known as the Yoga of Awareness. It has the ability to heal your body, mind, and spirit, all the while awakening your true potential. The practice strengthens the nervous system, balances the glandular system, and enables you to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions, so you can be in control of yourself, rather than being controlled by your thoughts and feelings. Sounds like exactly what I need!
“Wellness Events in Miami on Sunday”
South Beach: Warrior Flow Miami at Lincoln Road
Join Adrian Molina and the Warrior Flow crew for this diverse combination of movement specialists, yoga teachers, artists, meditation teachers, live DJ and more at the heart of South Beach. After the class, take a walk through Lincoln Road’s Green Market, feeling thoroughly yogified. This week’s special guests include celebrity fitness instructor Angel Alicea.
Coral Gables: Japanese Tea Ceremony at Lowe Art Museum
Observe a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, and sample tea and sweets. The Japanese Tea Ceremony is the ritualized preparation and serving of powdered green tea in the presence of guests. The objective of a tea gathering is that of Zen Buddhism—to live in this moment—and the entire ritual is designed to focus the senses so that one is totally involved in the occasion and not distracted by mundane thoughts. I’ve experienced this in the past and I really enjoyed it.
“Wellness Events in Miami on Monday”
South Beach: Moonlight Yoga by Equinox South Beach
Join Equinox South Beach crew for this yoga and meditation event celebrating the full moon while practicing at sunset in front of the ocean. This is the third sequential month this event has happened; at the previous event, more than 150 yogis came to celebrate. This is a collaborative effort between Equinox, Midtown Miami Magazine and Warrior Flow.
