Things To Do in Wynwood
Wynwood, off the beaten path and still an up and coming neighborhood, houses some of the best restaurants, bars, and nightlife the city has to offer. It is full of murals and graffiti alike which gives this neighborhood its vibrant color, and theme.*think artsy, hip, and rooted in culture* I think it's one of the realest neighborhoods the city has to offer, that's why I always recommend it. This guide will help you eat, drink, dance, relax, be entertained, but most of all, it will help you smile.

A small restaurant with big impact is adorned with industrial chic accents, and fits right into the theme of Wynwood. Everyone is welcome here, whether dining for one, or a couples night out. It's seductive, and alluring with fresh aromas of locally sourced American fare. Chef Brad Kilgore, James Beard 2018 Best Chef: South Finalist, seems to never disappoint. Alter is an open kitchen concept that offers a Chef's Counter, and Tasting Menu with various options. Each menu suggest enhancements, or wine pairings for the full experience. You won't leave hungry, that is for sure. Call ahead of time, or reserve to secure a seat on the weekends.

J. Wakefield Brewery/Taproom
Wynwood is home to a few breweries, J. Wakefield Brewery being one of those. This 3,800 square foot brewery is known for producing the Number 1 and Number 2 Berliner Weisse in the world, Miami Madness, and DFPF (Dragon Fruit/Passionfruit). If that doesn't sound amazing, J. Wakefield Brewery is also independently owned, and specializes in craft beers. Star Wars fans are definitely welcome here, as the walls are decorated with Star Wars and comic book murals. Check out their website for any food trucks that they may be partnering with if you want some notch too.J Wakefield Taproom 120 NW 24th St

It's concept is simple, contemporary, chic, and edgy, providing products that represent individuality. The pieces that you find here, for men and women, wont be anywhere else. They have been hand selected and curated just for you. This place stands out for its uniqueness, and for someone who wants to leave the big mass distributors of fashion alone for a day. The clothing, shoes, and accessories offered here are one of a kind, but classic as well. I love it, and think you will too.

Founded by former NFL player, DR. Herve Damas, Grassroots Wellness is the first and only Medical Marijuana business in Wynwood. Now, I know that Medical Marijuana may be controversial, so that's not why I am mentioning this place. Have you ever had acupuncture? If not, or if so, it's offered here, and you should try it. It is phenomenal. Grassroots Wellness also offers Pilates, Yoga, Mental Health and Nutrional Counseling, Reiki, Massage, and Spiritual services. Our wellness is important, and Grassroots is on the brink of something new and innovative.
