Things To Do in Hialeah
Are there too many non-Spanish speaking Miami-Dade residents? If so, Hialeah can seem like an intimidating place to visit. It is it's own special niche of Spanglish, small businesses, and a confusing traffic grid. However, if you can suspend your frustration with the sudden change in GPS navigation crossing into West 49th territory, Hialeah is a beautiful place with friendly community members, and it offers many rewarding experiences for one to indulge in.
Check out these five fun things to do in Hialeah, “The City of Progress.”
If you are into bargain shopping, this shopping square is thrift store paradise! There are about four thrift stores one could easily lose track of time in. With a multitude of eclectic secondhand items to scope, ranging from books, jewelry, clothes, furniture and more, you might want to bring your reusable totes. One of the thrift stores at Flamingo Plaza offers a shopping rewards program for frequent purchases, and at least two others deliver. In addition to the thrift store mania, there are a few other inexpensive casual shopping choices such as Citi-Trends, Marshall's and independently owned boutiques to consider. Shop, and then eat at the conveniently located Asian buffet, located at the center square.
Be sure to bring cash, for a more convenient shopping experience, and lots and lots of patience! It takes time to sift through all of the options available, but getting that exclusive name brand bag, pair of shoes, or outfit at knock off prices, is well worth the temporary time lapse down the shopping rabbit hole!901 E 10th Ave

Boss Burgers & Brew
The title of this place says it all. Eat, drink and chill like a #Boss at Boss Burger & Brew! They have quite the decadent menu offering mouth watering items like “beer battered fried alligator chunks,” a Swag burger which includes “8oz beef, kale, tomato, muenster cheese, and thyme aioli,” and banging bread pudding! The food titles are fun and inventive with The Godfather references. Embellished with red, black and gray décor pushes a classic bold, but mellow vibe. Not to mention every Saturday and Sunday they have unlimited mimosas from 11am-4pm, even more reason to feel like a boss! For non-meat eaters, there is a delicious mushroom burger option that your taste buds will thank you for. This is a perfect weekend spot.
