Experience Design District Like A Piece of Art

Things to do Design district

Miami’s Design District is much more than just a couple hours of window shopping on any given afternoon. This neighborhood is a creative place filled with eye-catching art, original architecture and unbelievable culinary finds. Here are our top 5 favorite things to do in Design District. You will be excited to tell your peeps about your experiences.

Design District Art Walk

If you ever found yourself wanting to learn more about the striking pieces, the artists behind them and how they made their way to the Design District – here is your chance.

There are currently more than 30 works of art to see in the Miami Design District, from centrally located works in public spaces, to the not-so-obvious works living amongst the shops of the MDD. The hour long tour is led by Margery Gordon, the founder of Arts Encounters, an organization that creates unique experiences that enlighten and connect cultural enthusiasts.

The art tours coincide with the neighborhood’s Family Day activities on the second Sunday of each month (except October) at 2:30 p.m., and the last Wednesday of each month to coincide with The Market at 6 p.m.
