Miami is ‘Fall-ing’ in Love with The Underline

The Underline Cycling Club powered by Baptist Health South Florida is pleased to share its fall lineup of community bike rides throughout South Florida. Beginning on Sunday, September 9, The Underline Cycling Club will kick off its cycling series with a bike ride from Dade Heritage Trust to The Bookstore & Kitchen in Coconut Grove.

Cyclists should arrive at Dade Heritage Trust (190 SE 12th Terrace) by 9:30 am for registration and a brief information session on The Underline and its ride partners, Bike Coconut Grove, Friends of the Commodore Trail and Dade Heritage Trust. The ride begins promptly at 10 am headed for The Bookstore & Kitchen, where cyclists will enjoy complimentary house-made signature treats. As cyclists enjoy lemonade and granola, they’ll get an inside look at The Commodore Trail from expert Hank Sanchez-Resnik, as well as a brief intro to The Bookstore & Kitchen by head chef, Adriana Egozcue.

The joy ride doesn’t stop there. On October 14, cyclists can enjoy a Sunday fun day to explore The Underline’s connections to future and existing destinations throughout the Magic City. The group will meet at 9:30 am at Dade Heritage Trust (190 SE 12th Terrace) for a 10 am departure to take a scenic ride through the historic Shenandoah neighborhood, heading toward the final destination at Cuban Memorial Boulevard Park. For the final ride of the fall 2018 series, The Underline Cycling Club teams up with Bike Walk Coral Gables Sunday, November 18 starting at 10 am for a Coral Gables ride exploring the origins of mobility and connectivity in the City Beautiful. From old trolley tracks and hidden trails, to the MPath (home of the future Underline), riders will see the city’s transformation moving to become a greater connected community with The Underline, trails and innovative parks. This ride begins and ends at the Coral Gables Museum located at 285 Aragon Ave. There is a $5 fee for this ride, paid on the day of the event to Coral Gables Museum. Payment also gets cyclists full day access to the museum. For more information and to register, please visit Eventbrite or email
