Messi Schneider and Juliana Aragao debut #FACES at Rubell

Art in Miami

When two creative minds fall in love with each other’s work and immediately embark on an artistic journey together, masterpieces are born within the first attempts. Juliana Aragao and Messi Schneider joined forces allowing each one to explore their specialty talents. Together they decided to create a portrait collection called #FACES portraying beauty from distinct ethnicities. After Messi captures the best of his subjects, he selects the photographs and hands the c-print to Juliana. The photo is then manually transferred to a cotton fiber paper. Juliana embellishes each piece individually using her hand painted techniques, acrylic paint and gold leaf. This contrast of mixed media enhances the original image and elevates the viewers experience. Every piece of the same series becomes a unique hand painted art photography.

Both artists Juliana and Messi believe in the blessings of giving less fortunate children the opportunity to believe and develop their talents. For this project, they’ve chosen “A Arte Salva”. A social project that is turning into a Social
Impact Foundation aimed at the accomplishment of artistic and cultural activities with children and young people in conditions of socioeconomic vulnerability, aiming at human and educational promotion. The event was sponsored by Grupo Patio and Black Salmon.

MMM Miami

In 2014, we had the idea that we could build a better Miami with others if we focused on Community. We kept it simple by launching a crowdsourced blog that turned into a website, a printed magazine and now, an app. But not just any app, Miami’s APP. It helps you discover the best experiences in different neighborhoods, find great events filtered by your interests and lifestyle, support local community businesses and meet people that make life exciting and meaningful. Join us and become part of the New Miami by downloading MMM LIVE app. Explore, Discover and Connect in the New Miami.
